Free (or at least way cheaper) DEVONThink alternative?

I rather like the idea of having a program to manage all my digital crap, since I suck at doing it myself. DEVONThink looks nice, but I just don't have that kind of money. I've been using Journler 2.0, but it's a bit clunky, particularly in how it does entries with tables. Yeek. Any recomendations? 19 Comments

I've only checked out one or two of the sample databases... I should probably look at them all. You made me think of another question, though! Do you tend to keep one big uber-database, or break things down by subject? It seems like if you had a giant monolithic database, it might find some interesting connections, but could get unwieldy... » POSTED IN:
