Using 'Reminder' with geektool

I recently read Mike Harris' post about his calendar utility called "remind." I've been trying it out and like it a lot. He mentions that he uses it with geektool. I've been trying to get it to work with geektool and am not having any luck. Can anyone give me some advice?

In terminal, "rem -c" displays my calendar just fine. In geektoo, "rem -c" give me nothing. Any suggestions?
