Column View!

Ok, I feel dumb, but I honestly can't figure this out. When I first got a Mac a year and a half ago, I stumbled across a tip that helped me do this, but now I can't find it and it's annoying the crap out of me. How do I set Finder so that every window it opens, opens in Column View? I remember it was something ridiculously easy, but I can't for the life of me remember what. If you guys can help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. 4 Comments

Okie dokie... Hmm... Ok, close all...Submitted by RickP in AZ on June 15, 2006 - 11:23am.
Okie dokie... Hmm... Ok, close all finder windows, open HD window, switch to column view, close Finder window. Funny thing is that *my* finder window also opened in icon view at first despite the preference setting. After doing the above it is opening in column view. Unless this is a "bug" which resets the view on log out then it should be solved. » POSTED IN:
