Safari's helping too much.

Every time I download anything that can be opened or decompressed, Safari's download window interrupts what I'm doing: "X is an application. Are you certain you want to download it?". I have to agree to complete the download, then switch back to whatever window/application I was using at the time.

Any tips on stifling this? I appreciate Safari's concern and love, but...:confused:

You can turn this off...

You can turn this off in the preferences but it's there because of a virus scare about 8 months ago. If you have good virus software then don't worry about turning it off. I don't have mine on.
