Forced study

Hi guys!

I'm currently studying Japanese and I'm looking for a good way to force myself to study more. Like most of you, I use the computer way too much, so I'm starting here. Do any of you know of a program that will lock my computer at certain times (like when it wakes up, when it comes back from screen saver, even periodically - like every 10 minutes) and force me to anwser a number of questions to be unlocked?

I am thinking these questions could range from kanji flashcards to questions in Japanese with the expecation of either an anwser or translation. Obviously, I would have to be able to configure the questions and accepted answers.

Anyways, can anyone think of a program like this or similar to this? Thanks!!

Thanks for the link, Jason....

Thanks for the link, Jason. This seems like a very interesting program. I've been experimenting with some of the timers that Merlin links to without success, but this seems to be more along the lines of what I'm looking for. I'll give it a try.

Your research is interesting. I've recently started reading "Awaken the Giant" by Anthony Robbins, so your research is something I've also recently been thinking about often.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
