Landscaping/Architectural Software
pooks | Mar 9 2006
One of my projects is totally changing the landscape of our house, since our shady tree is dying and we're soon going to lose all of our plants that love deep shade and end up in full sun. Windoze has programs where you can take a picture of your house, then try different types of landscape plants, etc. around it, even seeing how it will all look after a few years when things have grown. But I haven't found anything like that for the Mac. Windoze even had a program once that did minor architectural changes to your home, as well. Ex: You could change the types of windows and see how it would look. Does anything like this exist for the Mac? 7 Comments

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I asked here simply because there are a lot of Mac people concentrated here, and you never know what information someone might happen to have. As for bringing in the professionals -- we aren't looking to make any architectural changes, but we will be replacing our windows in the next couple of years. I recalled seeing programs at one time where you could do that -- take a photo of your home and "try on" different window styles. I'm sure when we get ready to actually invest the money we'll be doing more investigation than that, but I just thought it would be interesting to play around with. Thanks again! » POSTED IN:
