TextEdit with crash recovery?
duozmo | Feb 17 2006
Does anyone know of a lightweight editor for the Mac, a la TextEdit, but with crash recovery or auto save? For what will hopefully be the last time tonight, my Mac crashed and I had some unsaved notes in TextEdit. I lose so much time racking my brain trying to think what they were... but they didn't seem worth saving at the time. Arg. 9 Comments

vim (http://www.vim.org/) autosaves by default. It creates backups too. And on top of all of this, it's exactly the same on whatever platform you use -- UNIX, OS X, and Windows. Use the same RC file on all three platforms and have the exact same editor everywhere. » POSTED IN:
