TextEdit with crash recovery?

Does anyone know of a lightweight editor for the Mac, a la TextEdit, but with crash recovery or auto save? For what will hopefully be the last time tonight, my Mac crashed and I had some unsaved notes in TextEdit. I lose so much time racking my brain trying to think what they were... but they didn't seem worth saving at the time. Arg. 9 Comments

Thanks for the link. That's a great resource. Unfortunately I went through all of the editors in the Text Editor category, and none of them have autosave. The only one would be carbon emacs, which has too many other drawbacks. I guess it doesn't exist. » POSTED IN:
