Does anyone use the 'Services' menu?

The mac finder and most apps have a "Services" menu under the main App menu. I never think to use it -- Is anyone out there using these "Services" to improve productivity/effectiveness? How so?

Most of them require a selection to be highlighted. I didn't make use of Services until I downloaded Service Scrubber. This allows you to get rid of the Services that you don't need (Chinese translation, which I am sure is handy for someone, just not me). Many apps take advantage of them, for example, I use VoodooPad and if I find something on the web that I like, I highlight it and use the VoodooPad service to send it to a page of my choosing w/o opening anything up or doing anything more. I'm sure there are many other ways to make use of it though.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
