Does anyone use the 'Services' menu?
jshock | Jan 26 2006
The mac finder and most apps have a "Services" menu under the main App menu. I never think to use it -- Is anyone out there using these "Services" to improve productivity/effectiveness? How so? 9 Comments

I find 99.9% of them grayed out 99.9% of the time. Most of them require a selection to be highlighted. I didn't make use of Services until I downloaded Service Scrubber. This allows you to get rid of the Services that you don't need (Chinese translation, which I am sure is handy for someone, just not me). Many apps take advantage of them, for example, I use VoodooPad and if I find something on the web that I like, I highlight it and use the VoodooPad service to send it to a page of my choosing w/o opening anything up or doing anything more. I'm sure there are many other ways to make use of it though. » POSTED IN:
