IMAP Email client that allows editing of messages

I've set up my own little IMAP server where all my mail messages end up (from many different addresses). Through Mozilla Thunderbird I access my messages from both my PC at home, and my laptop at school. Because it's IMAP, all messages are stay on the server and I can work with exactly the same mails no matter where I am. If I want, I could install a spiffy web-based interface too. I've started doing some basic GTD with it too. IMAP is definatly showing its advantages here; I need to work with two different computers each day, and it's nice to have all my tasks available everywhere. However, I'm getting annoyed by a major shortcoming in Firefox, I can't edit any message. There's a workaround by moving the message to the drafts folder, editing it, saving it, and moving it back, but this breaks a few things. That's why I wanted to ask, anyone here know a good e-mail client that allows me to edit any message and supports IMAP properly? 7 Comments

There are a few advantages I have with the ability to edit e-mail:
If the IMAP server doesn't support this, and just removes the old message and replaces it with the new edited one, I don't mind. It's just that Firefox makes it very elaborate for me to do so, and destroys the message somewhat (headers and attachments are messed up). Similar issues with the GTD for Gmail system, you can't edit anything there either. » POSTED IN:
