Windows Sync Application
mourges | May 19 2006
Hi All, I'm looking for an application that will sync certain files between a USB key and my local C:\ drive, without having to sync the whole directory structure. On my PC at the moment I have C:\ _Filing which holds all of my reference material (with subfolders 0-9 and A-Z). I also have a replica called C:\USB that contains the same file subfolder structure and I keep that in sync (using SyncBack) with my USB key. The problem is some docs exist between C:\USB and C:\_filing causing me confusion. Ideally I'd like to have C:\ _Filing and any files under that I wanted to keep also synced with my USB key I could flag for this purpose (maybe with a right click action?). Any ideas anyone? I second Emory's suggestion for Unison. That is what I used to keep backups of certain directories before I got onto XP (I've been using unison since about 2002). Now that I have XP everywhere, it's synctoy. » POSTED IN:
