My Tools @Work
Bookworm | Jan 23 2006
The empty Windows section looked so sad, I thought I'd post something here. Any other Windows users hiding out there? [I can definitely understand the appeal of Macs (some wonderful software out there that's Mac-only, for one), but I've just always used Windows (or, *cough*, DOS) machines.] Outlook for email, calendar, and a little task management
Bonsai desktop (for the bulk of my Next Actions, task, project management)
I'm just doing my best to record everything in one of these two tools -- contact information, tasks, projects, lists, etc. 18 Comments

Just thought I'd join you in attempting to fill the void that is this Windows forum. I'm an avid Windows user and also use Outlook as my primary tool. It gets a bad rap from many, but does the job admirably, IMHO. I use ShadowPlan's desktop instead of Bonsai for my lists & outlines. Its not as powerful as Bonsai on the PC, but I prefer it on the Palm side, which is where I use it most (to each their own). Also thought I'd toss in SplashID's Windows application. While I don't use it for getting stuff done, I love its quick interface and use it to store any and all "non-text" reference items (e.g. account numbers, CD keys, etc.). Having that sync to my phone/PDA is priceless (can't tell you how many people have been impressed/scared by my uber-geekiness when I'm able to quickly produce the CD key for any software I've purchased in the last few years). Anyway, Windows ain't all that bad! Bob O'Malley » POSTED IN:
