Inexpensive Fountain Pens

I'm interested in cheap fountain pens because the last time I had a really nice one, I lost it.

I currently have a new Lamy Safari extra fine nib and I love it. The only thing I'd change would be to have a slimmer pen -- this one is a little fat for where I keep it in my planner/purse.

Any suggestions for slimmer fountain pen that isn't expensive?

Or for that matter, any fountain pens that aren't expensive?

I'm on the waiting list for the Speeno now, but would like to know what the other options are out there.

What I discovered with this Lamy is that the EF nib is actually easier for me to write legibly with. I don't know what size the other nib was but it was probably medium -- I like a bold look with a fountain pen. Problem is, my handwriting is horrifyingly awful and hard to read, and I now realize that bold pens make it worse.

ETA: I have gotten converters for my fountain pens because I prefer drawing in the ink and changing colors as desired. What I'd probably end up doing is reserving separate pens for different colors of ink. Right now, that's four bottles I have.

I have six Lamy Safari pens. Three EF, three medium. The medium ones are MUCH smoother to write with, but my writing usually looks better with the EF ones, too - especially if I'm writing on smaller pages. I keep a mixture of colours: I usually write in black or blue and have another colour (Noodler's Cayenne is my current favourite) to mark off things that are completed. I agree with having the converters for bottled ink: the only thing I've discovered with the converters is that it's very easy for them to come loose if you drop the pen.
