Inexpensive Fountain Pens
pooks | Feb 13 2006
I'm interested in cheap fountain pens because the last time I had a really nice one, I lost it. I currently have a new Lamy Safari extra fine nib and I love it. The only thing I'd change would be to have a slimmer pen -- this one is a little fat for where I keep it in my planner/purse. Any suggestions for slimmer fountain pen that isn't expensive? Or for that matter, any fountain pens that aren't expensive? I'm on the waiting list for the Speeno now, but would like to know what the other options are out there. 31 Comments

I use a Parker Vector:...Submitted by Brucer on March 2, 2006 - 4:25pm.
I use a Parker Vector: both inexpensive and slim, fits perfectly on the moleskine using the bookmark-threaded-through-clip/secured-with-elastic hack (in a way that the Parker Reflex wouldn't). No, it doesn't write like a top of the line fountain pen, but it does the job and when you factor in the benefits of low cost, lightweight, sits flush on the moleskine, I think it's the most practical choice. » POSTED IN:
