Bit the bullet... ordered a Levenger Circa Jr.
Russell | Dec 4 2006
Well, after much contemplation, I went ahead and ordered a Levenger Circa in the Jr. size. I went with the red color and had it customized with my intials. I also ordered the tab dividers, grid paper refill, and combo puncher of the desktop and travel punch. Pretty pricey, but I think I will get a lot of use out of this notebook. Per my question on emory's review thread, I found this link to someone who has had a letter size of the Levenger Circa for a while and describes how he uses it. I'll post up some pix to my flickr account when I get to opening it and how I pimp it out...heh... 39 Comments

Junior planner vs. Letter referenceSubmitted by Stew on February 13, 2007 - 7:26am.
Looks like I've hooked myself up to the Levenger methadone again. Junior sized Circa jackets on sale for $54.95? Quite a good savings. After reading Doug Johnson's posts on the subject, I've refined my circa layout. I have been using a makeshift junior sized notebook for the last 2 weeks or so for my planner, projects, and other misc. info. I had been avoiding this mainly because of the different sizes in junior and classic paper. My letter sized foldover will still get plenty of use from meeting notes, reading notes, writing drafts, mind mapping, and fleshing out ideas, but the junior will be more for planning and time management. I feel as though I need to have more of a hard line between planning and actual work, so this will likely do the trick. I think in the past I led myself to believe that I was working simply because my notebook was open, when in fact I was reviewing my schedule or planning a project. When using the letter sized as a planner, I found its size a bit unwieldy, and didn't really adhere to the "one topic per page" concept because of the size of the pages. However, it's great to have that extra 8.5"x11" space when I need it. » POSTED IN:
