Dressing for carrying stuff around?
Borganizer | Feb 13 2006
After reading this post by duien, I decided to get a filofax (a brand of organizers), since I want an ultra-portable system I can use whereever I am, and it (together with a pen) seems to do the trick. But I have no space left in my pockets and don't want to keep it in a separate bag, as I want instant access, all the time. So some wardrobe additions seem like a necessity. Right now, it consists of a bunch of jeans and ordinary shirts. I've considered cargo pants, but I think it's easier to whip it out quickly if it's located somewhere waist and above. What would you suggest? Is a dress shirt good enough? I read somewhere that putting notebooks in your shirt pocket wasn't that good, though I never understood why. Perhaps they fall out easily when you bend forward, or something. I also think a shirt pocket is a bit on the small side. My friends say I should use this opportunity to get better dressed, and buy a jacket too. A jacket pocket would probably be enough to fit a filofax in, but what about the summer, when it's hot? I doubt I could walk around in even a T-shirt and a jacket then. I see a market for filofax holsters emerging... 7 Comments

I was carrying a hpda...Submitted by GOD on February 13, 2006 - 9:50pm.
I was carrying a hpda around in different forms for a while, but lately all I carry is a Mead Marble Memo Book. I only write to-dos on the fronts of the sheets at the front and things to buy on the backs of the sheets at the front. Any notes start at the back. That keeps things from colliding. I do also use an actual pda but having that in my pocket at all times has worked wonders. » POSTED IN:
