I recieved a PenAgain as...Submitted by Borganizer on February 12, 2006 - 2:44am.
I recieved a PenAgain as a christmas gift, but I have never used it. This post inspired me to try it a bit. Impressions: "Gee, my handwriting sure looks awful now" - though I am fairly certain that it'll improve with training. The way I hold my pens now, I use the middle finger to direct the movements of the pen, while the PenAgain uses the index finger. However, while trying it out and switching back and forth between regular pens and the PenAgain, I definitiely experienced that I strained my fingers much less with the PenAgain. This is definitely a plus. A big minus though is that the pocket clip has a plastic pin as part of the locking mechanism, which unfortunately interferes with clipping the pen to your pocket. The force required to clip it safely is enough to pop off the lid and send it flying together with the spring (as seen in the linked picture). I'm not sure that this can be remedied through training. The PenAgain site also says that the PenAgain comes with two refills - I wish I had known that, since I after tearing out the pen just threw away the packaging, not examining it further for extras. But I am now seriously considering using it. After all, it looks pretty cool. » POSTED IN:
