Best virus protection to use
para | Jul 24 2007
I have been all over the internet and no one agrees. What is the best anti-virus program to use. Also which ones should I stay away from. I have an idea of the ones I should stay away from but I would like some input from everyone. 5 Comments

Freebies!Submitted by Paul on July 25, 2007 - 7:29am.
I'm using Avast as well. So far, so good. Several months ago I made the switch from paid to free antivirus and firewall, and all has gone well. I had no problems with Norton, but learned that there are freebies that work just as well. I like playing around with the PC, so it doesn't bother me to manage multiple apps for security (I think all the "suites" are paid programs). Sites such as CNET have some good compilations of reviews. It sounds like Avast, AVG, and GriSoft are all pretty well-regarded. I may give Comodo a try. I'm using Zone Alarm firewall now, but I often have to set it to Medium security to get the interwebs to work. » POSTED IN:
