How to improve accuracy?

Hello all,
I am currently studying Civil Engineering - this is a course which involves huge amounts of problem solving, which, sadly does require great accuracy.
However, I have noticed, that no matter how hard I try to check my answers, I always get some silly mistakes. It is not, that I have do not know the subject or apply the wrong methods, but those are just constant mistakes of inaccuracy - for example, forgetting to write a negative sign or swapping some numbers.

What could you recommend, so I could improve my accuracy?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, that is a good...

Thanks, that is a good advice - I think that it could work well, when considering problems, which follow a certain plan, I have never tried that - now I am looking forward of implementing this.

I also think, that, maybe, before getting on solving the problem, I should reconsider my plan of getting the right results, and after that I should only write something down.

Tomorrow I have a test in one of my modules - I will try this for sure.

Thanks Again
