Getting Organized
swank | Sep 5 2006
Hi all, I have been looking for a way in which I can get organized but not spend the majority of each day keeping the organizational system going. I guess what I mean is do you have any recommendations for a simple (preferably software based) organizational system which is scalable but can integrate into a relatively fast paced lifestyle? I would like to commit to one and really stick with it for at least a few months to see if it helps. I basically need to organize my notes, schedule, and to-dos. Some options I have in mind: Sorry I am giving you so little to work with, but I have only recently taken a serious look at this and would really appreciate some feedback about your experiences and what has worked for you... 9 Comments

Outlook works for me. Dave Allen has an Outlook plug in which does all the hard work for you or if you have an authoritarian IT Department you can implement it using a guide from David's website. Bit of tinkering here and there and away you go. Everything goes in my outlook tasks and I can sort by Context or by "Project". I can also sync to my PDA which gives me a context view when on the move. Other people use other methods so you'll probably end up trying all varieties until you find the one that works for you. » POSTED IN:
