GTD for homemakers?
evilbrent | Jan 15 2006
What about GTD in the home? My wife looks after 2 kids under 2, studies part time and works nights... it seems to me like she's the perfect candidate for a GTD system, but how do I help her with it? She certainly doesn't have time to read the book or browse life-hacking sites like this one the way that i can... we've got a little white-board and an in tray in the kitchen... what else? 13 Comments

Oh my, she must be very busy! To tell you a secret, I've never read David Allen's book. You could print a couple of Merlin's post summarizing GTD method for her. The Hipster PDA would also be a good option for her to keep track of all the tasks she needs to do. That way she could keep it in her purse and take it when she does her errands, goes to school, etc. Talking about organizing methods for housewives, before I got a job, I found these two methods very useful: The SHE (Side-tracked home executives): a good method for organizing house work with have a tickler file method! The Fly-Lady method is also good, but it really only focuses in housekeeping. » POSTED IN:
