Anyone else having problems replying to emails?
Laura M. | Oct 26 2005
I'm so bad replying to emails. They just keep piling. I read them the moment they come, but something keeps me from replying or acting on them. How do you deal with emails? Do having specific blocks of time devoted to email writing works for you? How you balance replying to emails with the other parts of your work? Is anyone using Groupwise for your emails? Any tips for using it? The new version is able to attach labels to the emails and changes the color of the header accordingly. Now I have a very colorful inbox but as full as before. 41 Comments

I'm with Keely here; how can something go overdue for months without being so painful you need to do it? If I was months over on a project deadline, for example, I'd be getting shouted or pleaded at by whoever needed it. Actually, something occurs to me; are you guys (Laura/Stangster) living off your task lists? Personally, I spend maybe 30 minutes a day writing my lists of actions, and every other minute working from my list: I have a ticker app which is always populated with my next three actions, and I just glance down and do number 1. I suspect, though, that your task lists are more like errands lists? So you have (1) writing task lists, (2) doing normal work, (3) doing task list work. Is that right? » POSTED IN:
