Wardrobe Hacks
otterhound | Apr 23 2006
I'm working on a minimalist, utilitarian wardrobe. I don't want to have to think about dressing and I don't want to help a dry cleaner with his car payments. I am lucky to be able to dress as I like, within reason. I live in a hot climate (Dallas), where we recently enjoyed some lovely 100 degree April days. My current thinking is to go to 100% khakis and plain white t-shirts. Short sleeve in summer, long sleeve in winter. Boring, yes, but totally inoffensive. I can keep the t-shirts nice by simply bleaching them and trying to keep them relatively unwrinkled. The khaki's can similarly be maintained somewhat unwrinkled and be fine. Are any of you doing wardrobe hacks? 35 Comments

Absolutely not. I couldn't imagine wearing a jacket here in the D/FW area when it's pushing up into the 110 degree range in late June-early August. I live in San Antonio, so I totally understand about the heat. However, I find I wear more blazers and light jackets in the summer because people tend to crank up the air conditioner to crazy levels. I find blazers to be particularly great because I can wear a skimpy tank top or sleeveless top (today) with a blazer over it. That way, I'm prepared for the outdoors and the indoors. Right now I have blazers in kakhi (blah, however it's spelled), white, light blue, and black. » POSTED IN:
