Wardrobe Hacks
otterhound | Apr 23 2006
I'm working on a minimalist, utilitarian wardrobe. I don't want to have to think about dressing and I don't want to help a dry cleaner with his car payments. I am lucky to be able to dress as I like, within reason. I live in a hot climate (Dallas), where we recently enjoyed some lovely 100 degree April days. My current thinking is to go to 100% khakis and plain white t-shirts. Short sleeve in summer, long sleeve in winter. Boring, yes, but totally inoffensive. I can keep the t-shirts nice by simply bleaching them and trying to keep them relatively unwrinkled. The khaki's can similarly be maintained somewhat unwrinkled and be fine. Are any of you doing wardrobe hacks? 35 Comments

So strange to see this...Submitted by jasonechols on April 24, 2006 - 10:13am.
GOD wrote: So strange to see this pop up. A few weeks ago I decided to go minimalist too and just started wearing red t-shirts and black jeans (I'm a little gothy). To chime in with some of the others though I do wear a cheap Mossimo blazer I got at Target to take it up a notch. We have a fella here that wears the same blazer ever day. Another that does so most days. I think they both have the right idea about how to go about it. One is a lightweight kakhi jacket. Kind of like you would find in the LL Bean travel section. The other has a navy blazer that pretty much goes with anything. I almost passed out the other day when he came in with his shirt tail out and no blazer on. I thought he was trying to break out from the mold a bit. But the next day...back to that navy blazer. :) » POSTED IN:
