Wardrobe Hacks
otterhound | Apr 23 2006
I'm working on a minimalist, utilitarian wardrobe. I don't want to have to think about dressing and I don't want to help a dry cleaner with his car payments. I am lucky to be able to dress as I like, within reason. I live in a hot climate (Dallas), where we recently enjoyed some lovely 100 degree April days. My current thinking is to go to 100% khakis and plain white t-shirts. Short sleeve in summer, long sleeve in winter. Boring, yes, but totally inoffensive. I can keep the t-shirts nice by simply bleaching them and trying to keep them relatively unwrinkled. The khaki's can similarly be maintained somewhat unwrinkled and be fine. Are any of you doing wardrobe hacks? 35 Comments

I'm working on a minimalist, utilitarian wardrobe. So strange to see this pop up. A few weeks ago I decided to go minimalist too and just started wearing red t-shirts and black jeans (I'm a little gothy). To chime in with some of the others though I do wear a cheap Mossimo blazer I got at Target to take it up a notch. The issue I'm facing is that I now feel the need to replace the shirts that have stuff on them with shirts that are just blank. And I don't know how wearing the same blazer everyday is received. But oh well... Don't have to make much wardrobe decisions (just grab a red shirt) and that's all I was really going for. Will tweak along the way. Almost forgot something. One thing I love about wearing the blazer -- pockets. » POSTED IN:
