”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

Those darn Moleskines...

I'm not even sure this is the right forum for this, but it was the only place that seemed to fit:

I'd like to curse Mr. Mann and the 43 Folders crew for introducing me to Moleskine. I say curse cuz as of now I have three with another on the way: 18 month calender, address book, accordian file (on the way) and a stetchbook (I don't even know why I bought the stetch book...I don't draw, don't sketch...).

CURSRE YOU!

CURSE YOU ALL!

I'm sure there's another Moleskine I need somewhere...

Hey, Allen, have you tried...

Hey, Allen, have you tried Richard Binder's notepads yet? They are rumored to be the last word in FP-friendly goodness. They come either blank or with superspiffy photo reproductions of stupidly gorgeous pens. I foresee them in my very near future.

To get back to topic, uh, I just picked up a sweet little Rhodia 3x4" notebook that makes a tasty little capture device. I use it to make fast notes at my desk and drop 'em in my in-box for proper processing. Falls into the "fun tools" category, not bad for $2. Much more pleasing than the nasty cheapo office despot pad I was using before.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
