Tracking business mileage

Does anyone have tips on tracking automobile mileage for business deduction? I have of course thought of keeping a notepad in the car as a log, but I forget to write trips down and since I have my computer with me pretty much all the time, I sometimes end up doing business work when I didn't expect to and therefore didn't plan to write it down? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. 6 Comments

The first thing that sprung to mind was to photograph the odometer every time you get into the car. However, on reflection, that sounds a little bit mental. It would give you mileage linked to date and time, though. » POSTED IN:
