You need to take Action X when a certain invoice arrives. You can't use a tickler or an alarm reminder because you don't know the date upon which the invoice will arrive. You could put a reminder in a Holding Until... device, but you have lots of similar pending actions. Daily review of Holding Until is time-consuming. What's the best way to deal with this? dp 5 Comments

The weekly review is too late. Sometimes the daily review is too late. If I'm not reminded at the moment of receipt, the processing moves beyond my office. In this case, rather than getting it out of my head, the review serves as a mnemonic device to make certain that it stays in my head, always in the back of my mind even though it's a relatively trivial matter. » POSTED IN:
