Waiting for -- what level list?
bengoshisan | May 22 2007
Dear All, I was thinking about "waiting for" items. Is that a "project level" or a "NA level" list? The problem occurred to me when processing emails I send -- I am waiting for an answer, which could come in 30 seconds, if the partner is on-line, and could come in two days or a week, if they are on holiday. Now, in the first case, it is enough to jot an item to the waiting for section of my NA lists, while in the latter, it is rather well placed among a list in projects. Or, for that matter, it could go to my diary. What do you think? (And, of course, I mean that I don't know when the answer would come. 11 Comments

So a waiting for list...Submitted by bengoshisan on May 23, 2007 - 8:59am.
So a waiting for list is a completely different species. Right, it is one piece (not several steps to take), so it is not a project -- but it neither is a NA, since it has no context and no action. The question then is, where do you keep that list? Closer to your project level, or closer to your NA level lists? What I'd say now is that you should keep it with your NAs, so that you could check it even several times a day (eg. if you are waiting for an urgent answer), and if the thing is not that urgent, then put it into your calendar/tickler, and it will come up for a follow-up. » POSTED IN:
