One Letter sheet per inbox item?
sud0n1m | May 1 2007
Im currently on chapter 5 in GTD. I've been using actiontastic to capture inbox items and lists on pieces of paper. What I don't get is that one letter size piece of paper per idea seems like huge wastage! Is letter size critical here? Is there any reason not to quarter a piece of letter paper and capture each item like that? I love the idea of GTD, but the paper waste seems.. well... wasteful! 7 Comments

I think the real idea...Submitted by Herah on May 2, 2007 - 10:11am.
I think the real idea is that all your single-item notes should be the same size, and that size should be appropriate to your storage, so you don't wind up with a wad of post-its and backs of envelopes falling out the sides of your folders. The book talks about organizing stuff in standard file cabinets with letter-size folders (probably more accessible to the customers of his consulting business); that's why everything is on letter-size sheets of paper. There are plenty of good storage and organization options for standard-size index cards. » POSTED IN:
