BOOK vs CD ?
Henry B | Mar 14 2007
Newbie and am ready to pull the trigger on "the book" as is it referred to often here. I see that "the CD" is also available and wondered if any of you could share what worked well for you. In particular, has anyone used the CD's as their primary learning mode? I personally like to read and mark learning material up so I can quickly find and review important stuff. However, I did listen to Covey's 7 Habits on CD and it is somewhat practical and enjoyable as well - giving my eyes a rest and taking advantage of driving time. Thoughts  7 Comments

You'll refer back to the book over and over, probably reading it cover to cover at least twice, then jumping into it and rereading particular chapters again, then using it to look something up, then rereading again... And along with that constant re-review, as you start to implement the system, over the first 1 - 2 years, you'll be learning, thinking of new ideas, and realising you now understand parts that you didn't before. All of which will probably involve copious notes in your copy of the book. And all of which is inconvenient with a CD. I'd go with the book. But then I'm very much a book person. ;) » POSTED IN:
