Help me stick to it

I flout my GTD, all the time.

I'm currently having real difficulties following my GTD routine and because of this i'm letting things slip. I've recently been getting home from work and not doing anything at all, flouting my next actions and deciding what to do there and then (which usually involves playing games or watching TV).

Today i'm sat in work and i don't even have a copy of my NA's or my moleskine to hand, i've left them abandoned at home in my bag.

I love GTD but i'm having great difficulty applying myself to it. Has anyone got any suggestions which may help me stick to my routine?

A lot of good posts...

A lot of good posts here. I agree that this may be a motivation issue. I guess the first question I'd have is whether or not your GTD implementation made any difference to your effectiveness in getting things done? Did you notice benefits? What were they? What improved when you implemented your system? What are the reasons you like GTD? And if you really do like it, and see improvements in your work and in getting things done, why then would you be making a choice to not do these things?

Also, perhaps more implementation is important? Are there areas you haven't implemented (like at home) and are there goals you'd like to see accomplished that your GTD implementation could help with? Envision the future without GTD as you see it, and envision a GTD-full future with you on task and getting your work done...

[hope this helps...]

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
