Anyone doing GTD with GMail?
mmchicago | Apr 26 2006
I'm pretty impressed with how well GMail lends itself to GTD (as outlined in this post), but I'm really wondering how other people get around the problem of portablility. Do you simply manually sync to an offline source for contexts that should be offline? This seems pretty labor intensive to me, but appears to be the only option when using GMail. Anyone else have any experiences to share about GTDw/GMail? Best, 4 Comments

I tried Google notebook, but I just didn't like it...I found things falling through the cracks too often. Currently, I am saving everything with value onto my hard drive or, when I'm not at my home desktop, my thumb drive. I sync the thumb with the home machine using MS Briefcase (Windows). I use Copernic Desktop to index and search the contents. The system works great for archiving finding things using keywords, but I'd like to be able to tag items for sorting and searching. I thought that maybe by mailing the documents to gmail, I could automatically label and archive them without many additional steps. Does Google notebook offer a way to attach a file to an email and automatically add it into the notebook? I use this feature often with Flickr. » POSTED IN:
