Anyone doing GTD with GMail?
mmchicago | Apr 26 2006
I'm pretty impressed with how well GMail lends itself to GTD (as outlined in this post), but I'm really wondering how other people get around the problem of portablility. Do you simply manually sync to an offline source for contexts that should be offline? This seems pretty labor intensive to me, but appears to be the only option when using GMail. Anyone else have any experiences to share about GTDw/GMail? Best, 4 Comments

Gmail as a file/document/note repository?Submitted by Stew on June 8, 2006 - 12:02pm.
This isn't a GTD question per se, but it follows along the same idea of using Gmail as a collection device. Has anyone experimented with sending documents, web pages, or other notes to a Gmail account for archival and reference purposes? I can see the potential of Gmail's tagging and sorting capabilities, and although I'm currently using a paper-based GTD system, most of my support materials are electronic. I do have some concerns of its portability, but I'm almost always sitting at a desk with a computer for my in-depth reviews. My eventual goal is to have an system similar to EverNote or Devonthink in concept, but without the overhead of installed software. Any advice or comments? Thanks! » POSTED IN:
