Whats you "Trusted System"

Hello all. I am brand new to the GTD system (Started one week ago). I am haveing some problems finding a good trusted system. I asked Merlin for advice and he directed me to you the reader for help. Very helpful post for me particularly, duien, as I'm addicted to my Franklin system (NOT Covey -- the original Franklin system) and was trying to figure out whether I'd be able to combine it with GTD before buying the book. Looks like it will! The aspect of the Franklin system that worked so well for me was writing down everything and keeping it in one place. I carried a huge high school notebook sized planner for years. This year I finally scaled down to a small one, and now am looking forward to learning how to deal with "stuff."
