I just read an article Simple ways to make yourself far cleverer, and it says among other things that: Quote: (emphasis mine).
The programme found that a combination of techniques based on healthy eating, physical activity, sound sleep and stimulating your mind through solving puzzles and remembering lists makes people sharper, more confident and better at making decisions. Am I ruining my brain by using GTD and writing everything that I have to remember, my next actions, into my index cards ? :D 3 Comments

I find that if I write something down, i will remember it even if I lose the paper on which it was written. I guess the act of writing engraves it in my brain. I agree that GTD probably helps you remember those lists better. The idea is to get it down on a list so that your brain can be free of worrying about it, not free of having that information. I would imagine that writing stuff down and inputting it will help you memorize what is on the lists. » POSTED IN:
