Email DMZ folder

Merlin, some time ago you said that you would give us your super-secret to empty the biggest DMZ email folder in 15 min. Care to share it now? I'm trying to empty my mailbox and it's such a pain. 16 Comments

It turns out I'm using the DMZ, sort of. I plugged NEO for Outlook in this thread. I treat my Inbox as a stack of STUFF. When I do email dashes anything that isn't a 2 minute response I put it into one of 3 Categories (no folders in NEO) called @Work-PC, Waiting and Reading List. One more little Hack I do is to make all the items in these categories unread. this gives me a count of how much I have to do. I can't decide if this keeps stress or not. Thoughts? When I the Active Mail (NEO's Inbox) is empty, I process through my @Work-PC (or Waiting or Reading) and look for the right Next Action. I guess this is a step past DMZ and right into GTD. You can certainly do this with folders, but I like enough of the other features of NEO that this really works for me. » POSTED IN:
