Share the Love at the Office: GTD MeetUps

I'm currently trying to organize a weekly meeting for GTD users in my office.

I have tentatively called these Monday Lunches "The Weekly Review".

That so far is an area that I have a hard time with. Doing the actual review.

So I figured that having a set time with other people around (think: support group) would encourage me to do my weekly review and also have a time to share with other people how I'm Getting Things Done and learn them them as well.

I've discovered that if I...

I've discovered that if I don't do the Weekly Review, I get really nervous, jumpy, tense, and worried, because I know I've got stuff to do, but I don't know what it is. The Weekly Review really is the key to keeping the whole GTD thing going, keeping it effective. It's what keeps me on top of all my "stuff," keeps me unstressed.

I try to do it every Saturday morning, along with various other weekly things (like checking my oil, doing laundry, etc.)

Sharing it with somebody might be helpful, though, just like staying on top of working out or running every day is easier to do when you have an exercise buddy. It keeps you accountable.

Cranking

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
