First Aid, sure, but please include CPR. I can't stand academics who call themselves doctors and couldn't even give someone the Heimlich maneuver. Seriously though, I was desperate for some system, any system of time management during my undergraduate years, and this was at ART school mind you. I remember trying to find something akin to the wonder I find in GTD today by cococting all sorts of schemas in Excel spreadsheets and paper datebooks and and and. What I wouldn't have given up if someone had just explained the simple notion of working on contexts 15 years ago. I'm teaching graphic design-related courses right now and my production & design class gets a good healthy listen to me talk about David Allen and Mr. 43folders Mann. All of them say they'd love to hear more and even give it a try, and some are actually pretty excited by it. To quote one student, "this is like the first time I heard about sex versus the first time I understood what all the hype was about." » POSTED IN:
