We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

@pretty much everyone; that thing called Finder. OY! hate it. Plus don't get me started on PathFinder, not a big fan of that either. To me seems like a memory hog, plus waiting for it to start on my MBP it bounces, and bounces, and bounces and bounces and bounces ad infinitum till finally thank the gods it is running (I use to have it start when I did a restart but no more just gums up the works). ditto on the .DS_store files and the USB unplugged while application blah blah blah nonsence. My whine: I can't believe, and I will go back and read the comments again, is that no one mentioned a Excel killer. Forget Mariner and its Calc or whatever it is program. Word I can utilize Pages (again would like some more functionality to it), Keynote does PowerPoint one better, but I still need Excel (tried Open Office, NeoOffice but there are a few things I need to do that those don't support either). I must be one of the few (or one of the remaining 5) that actually like the Dock. I would like more options to customize it. Mail.app, love it but the IMAP support just sucks eggs. » POSTED IN:
