We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

The OS X printing system drives me nuts. Apps like Photoshop and Aperture have a myriad of print settings that get wiped out by the system's print settings. Every time I go to print a new file, the system resets to default settings and results in a ruined print. The print dialog is annoyingly divided into many many sections accessed via drop-down menu. It's an exercise in pure frustration just to try and print a document with the settings I want, especially considering that 1 wrong setting ruins the print. » POSTED IN:
