We've started a new feature over on MacBreak Weekly that I really hope becomes a regular thing: "_Mac Whines_!" Yeah, sure, I'm an unapologetic Apple fanboy (I, mean duh), but some stuff about my Mac experience makes me crazy. Have you got a beef with your Mac or OS X you want to shout from the shiny counter of the "Genius" Bar? Yeah, me too. I'll open with:

Lack of keyboard navigation of Mail.app folders. The best workaround I have is MsgFiler (previously recommended here). It's primary application is to move highlighted messages between folders (typically Inbox to an archive or project or tickler folder in my case) using a QuickSilver-like substring match/filter keyboard interaction. But it also has a "Show" command, akin to Finder's "Go To...". Only problem is that it's an extra keystroke to select the Show command, i.e. I'd love Mail.app to have this natively, or for QuickSilver to introduce Mail.app folder browsing. Clearly Alkor knows how to do this the right way. » POSTED IN:
