Apple - QuickTime - Macworld 2007 Keynote Wow. Everyone here in the MacBreak war room is still perspiring as we let it all sink in. OS X. On your phone. Damn. So what do you guys think about Steve's announcements? What surprised you? What else do you wish you'd heard? What do you think it will mean to have running OS X on your mobile phone? 56 Comments

Why only 4 and 8GB...Submitted by William D. Neumann (not verified) on January 10, 2007 - 7:08am.
Why only 4 and 8GB for a device that is supposed to be for video?! Because it's to be a sync then watch kind of setup, not a take your entire DVD collection with you setup. Besides, how big are movies that are encoded for the 480x320 screen? You can easily fit a few on there -- certainly enough to watch before you have to charge it. and - where is the version of the iPhone with a full HD and no phone features - I want THAT video iPod It'll be here for Christmas -- after all the early jumpers have the phone and the bugs are worked out. That's my guess. No Xcode for iPhone. No hacker applications for iPhone. Yep. and right now that'll keep me from getting one in June. Although I fully expect them to have something out for the WWDC. Anyway, I'm a lot less excited about the phone today than I was yesterday, and I'll likely end up waiting about a year (when my current contract expires). Hopefully it'll be a 2nd gen with third party apps by then. » POSTED IN:
