Apple - QuickTime - Macworld 2007 Keynote Wow. Everyone here in the MacBreak war room is still perspiring as we let it all sink in. OS X. On your phone. Damn. So what do you guys think about Steve's announcements? What surprised you? What else do you wish you'd heard? What do you think it will mean to have running OS X on your mobile phone? 56 Comments

On the iPhone--I'm gonna have...Submitted by David M (not verified) on January 10, 2007 - 5:56am.
On the iPhone--I'm gonna have to watch this one. I am a heavy Palm user, and I want to see if it will run regular OSX apps (like, say, OmniFocus?), or if there will have to be mobile editions (like, say, OmniFocus Mobile??), or if it's a completely closed system (until OmniHack comes out???). : ) The ability to get PIM type stuff on an iPhone would be a Palm-killer for me, especially with how my E2 delightfully resets itself every once in a while. On the Apple TV--I gotta say this...SNORE! Love ya, Jobs, but don't you remember releasing this back in the OS 7 days, calling it Mac TV, and only marketing it to college students, such that I got one on clearance and used it til it died? (Note, that's not mine on eBay, but I just wanted you all to see it.) That was back in the days when R&D (as always) rocked, but Marketiung sucked. That's why only a few of us remember it, but Steve, it's already been done...BY YOU! Sigh, lack of historical memory is the soul of our culture... » POSTED IN:
