Feed2Podcast makes audio out of your feed

Feed2Podcast

Technically providing the opposite of what some folks have asked for on 43 Folders (jump to 4:04 or so), Feed2Podcast turns your garden-variety RSS feed into a series of audio files, which can then be subscribed to like a podcast.

It's a clever idea, although the robot voice reading the text sounds, to my ear, like he's hopped up on goofballs and ready for a multi-state crime spree (which, come to think of it, might be a fun way to hear my "writing"). Anyhow, it's definitely fun as a proof of concept -- and probably a welcome and economical development for folks with sight issues who'd still like to keep up with bloggers' kitties and the results of their sundry personality tests.

If, for some reason, you think you'd like to hear the last few 43F posts read aloud by a nervous robot, Feed2Podcast and I are happy to oblige:

So out of curiosity, does something like this appeal to you, just in general? Would this be a service you think you'd use, for listening on commutes etc.?

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
