Everytime I pick up a new Moleskine, I’m reminded how much I freaking love these things. I got a fresh one the other day at Flax, so why not mention a few new Moleskine hacks?

I created writing guides/lines for my 13 x 21 cm (5 1/4 by 8 1/4") Moleskine based on the Fibonacci proportion of the pages and a medieval page-formating rule. It's a double-sided card you put behind the page in an unlined Moleskine to allow you to write the same number lines per page, spaced the same way, with the same margins on every page. The guides show through the paper, so you keep the attractive and functional qualities of the unlined Moleskines, but have the ordering function of the lined ones. I've posted a normal (for me) line height and and a loose line height pdf online for you guys: http://www.rodgraves.com/moleskine-guide_normal.pdf and http://www.rodgraves.com/moleskine-guide_loose.pdf Print the page double sided on card stock and cut on the dotted lines, then slip behind the page you're writing on. It works great with the thin paper unlined Moleskins, but the lines may not show through on the thicker one. The thin margins are always touching the spine and top of the pages. » POSTED IN:
