Everytime I pick up a new Moleskine, I’m reminded how much I freaking love these things. I got a fresh one the other day at Flax, so why not mention a few new Moleskine hacks?

I love the japanese fold...Submitted by rob (not verified) on November 23, 2004 - 5:32pm.
I love the japanese fold though they are difficult to find - since its bound only on the front cover, its easy to keep a pencil in the spine. the downside is it is hard to fold flat when writing on the pages - its easier to have a tabletop handy, which i never do. the novelty of the book makes me write in it, which nice - i have lots of journals i never write in because i don't want to sully them - the entropy in the japanese fold does it for me, somehow. this type of journal would make a great scrapbook because when you were done you could fold it out into a wall hanging if you wanted to. you could probably even frame it. you are also encouraged to ignore the page breaks and just keep a continuous thing going. implement of choice is a #3 University of Michigan pencil. No idea where it came from, as I've never been to Michigan nor do I know anyone who has. that pencil has a fantastic eraser. » POSTED IN:
