Naming project support files
Merlin Mann | Sep 20 2004
Quick GTD bagatelle. I’ve started keeping all my one-page, per-project support files in the same folder as my GTD lists. I still use “@” as prefix for contextual lists, but now I use “&” to indicate a support file. E.g.
Makes for easier sorting, nice visual scanning, and the ability to quickly pluck out hot topics on either your horizontal or vertical radar screen. (Although I’m open to a nominee for a better symbol.) 10 Comments

You don't need that many...Submitted by Jeroen (not verified) on September 20, 2004 - 9:53pm.
You don't need that many special characters. In fact, GTD only uses the @ to make sure these specific categopries will appear on top. Besides sorting, this specific character has a semantic meaning. I don't think this is ugly. Of course many people picked up the sorting trick, and started using onther characters as ! and &. What matters is what works for you. I personally only use @ to specify my context. » POSTED IN:
