Naming project support files
Merlin Mann | Sep 20 2004
Quick GTD bagatelle. I’ve started keeping all my one-page, per-project support files in the same folder as my GTD lists. I still use “@” as prefix for contextual lists, but now I use “&” to indicate a support file. E.g.
Makes for easier sorting, nice visual scanning, and the ability to quickly pluck out hot topics on either your horizontal or vertical radar screen. (Although I’m open to a nominee for a better symbol.) 10 Comments

For me, the special characters...Submitted by tew (not verified) on September 20, 2004 - 8:31pm.
For me, the special characters in filenames/calendars/whathaveyou that is all over GTD is a huge sticking point. It's just ugly. Doesn't anyone else find this offends their sense of decency and elegance? Has anyone got a good solution for me? I've considered init.d-style numeric sorting (00-NextAction, 01-Inbox, 10-Waiting, 22-Agenda_Meeting_Boss, 99-Someday), but that seems just as ugly. » POSTED IN:
