Plain text in Google Docs?
mdl | Oct 20 2006
I was excited when Google Docs (formerly Writely) was opened to the public but was soon disappointed when I found out there was no option for saving as plain text. I know Mac OS 10.4 has an RTF to TXT conversion on the command line, but unfortunately I'm on 10.3. Anyone know of a workaround? I've tried simple copy and paste, but there are some problems, especially if a document was originally created in Word or RTF format. As far as I can tell, the "strip formatting" button doesn't fully convert the document or get rid of all the rich text formatting. I'm frustrated that I have to go into my plain text file and take out all the unrecognizable characters and extra carriage returns. POSTED IN:
